Six Legged Crawler is fun to learn with.Come lets have fun learning

With the advancement of technology, their came advancement in the world of animals and so did the students from Ghent University in Belgium. They have developed a six-legged floor crawler that resembles a lot like a scorpion hence named as the "Scorpion Hexapod".It fires its stinger at the hand of anyone covering its eyes, leaving a red mark as a reminder of the encounter.

This bot was initially designed to overcome the problems that were being faced in Ant Bot. They tried to resolve the problem by taking special care of motors and the batteries so they last longer. The parts of the AntBot was being reused along with Arduino Nano. The legs and the tail were made by the 3D printer. Shell, claw, leg and tail stinger was made of thermoformed poly. Marker pen was used to stamp on victims.

Making of Scorpbot:

1. It has a long IR sensor.

2. 3 short-range sensors as used in Advance level which is used to detect the users' proximity just like the front facial camera.

3. It has been programmed with the multiple numbers of moves just like we do for our Quadrapet in Expert level.

The possibility of being live- controlled by the computer is also possible. It moves like the real thing and in future, it can be used to promote courses in the Industrial design centre.
