Terms And Conditions For Summer Camp 2020

Below are the terms and conditions for The Great Robotics Summer Camp 2020 conducted by SP Robotics Maker Lab. If you register for any of the 4 courses/camps offered under The Great Robotics Summer Camp 2020, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern SP Robotic Works relationship with you in relation to this camp.

SEAT BOOKING:

  • The application for the seat booking for the summer camp for Robot Risers Camp, Robot Creators Camp, Code Creators Camp, Robot Advancers Camp has to be done vide the form available at your nearest centre or through the website link. The fee paid includes a free take-away kit.
  • The seat will be booked only upon 100% of the fees being paid upfront. Post payment of fees due to any cancellation the fees will not be refundable.
  • Once the fees are paid the batch and the dates as well as timeslot will be confirmed to you via email (if provided) and SMS.
  • You can reserve your seat for a period of two weeks from the date of booking by paying a 50% advance payment of the fees for reservation of the seat. Within 2 weeks, remaining payment needs to be done (link will be shared accordingly). Upon expiry of the two weeks, in the event you do not register and complete the process of making the remainder payment, you will lose the advance payment made as well as the slot booked will expire.
  • Within 2 weeks’ time, from the date of full/advance payment of the fees, the slot booking can be changed based on availability. Post the expiry of this period, no slots can be changed, as you would appreciate the slots get filled up and rescheduling the same will not be possible.
  • As mentioned in clause 2 above, post the booking of the slot with payment of full or advance payment of fees, no cancellation will be entertained and the amount will not be refundable.
  • The delivery of the course will be by our partners in the locations listed on the website. You can choose any of the location and the same would require to be communicated by you in the booking form to reserve your slot.
  • The above rules are applicable for not only the seat booking done online but as well as at any of the Maker Lab locations.
  • Notwithstanding anything contained herein, SP Robotic Works Pvt Ltd reserves the right to reschedule the classes due to unforseen reasons or conditions (external or internal). Any change in the schedule will be conveyed to the customer immediately upon such rescheduling via email/SMS and the customer can chose to reschedule part or full course. In the event, the summer camp is entirely cancelled by SP Robotic Works and no rescheduling option is provided to the customer, the same will be communicated to the customer via email/SMS and the amount paid by the customer will be refunded with 20 working days.
  • The parent/customer will ensure the pickup and drop of the child and will ensure that they will pick the child and drop the child on time. Kindly note the timings of the course and adhere to the same.

LEARNING AT THE CAMP:

  • The camp will involve 10 classes (total of 20 involvement hours) with 2 hours each (Timeslot as chosen by you at the time of booking). The child has to report for the class on time and will not be allowed to leave the class in between and will have to complete the timeslot provided. No extra classes will be encouraged.
  • The camp is conducted through a smart class-based environment. A facilitator will be present in the camp location to help the children login and run through the components provided. Any queries in the course will be sorted through Live interaction with experts online.
  • Lab Kit will be provided for the child for few learning chapters and for some, he/she can learn with the Take-away kit provided mid-way through the course. Kit provided will be a take-away kit for the child. The kit has a warranty against manufacturing defects for a period of 2 weeks from the date of delivery.
  • In case the kit has any manufacturing defect(s), a temporary replacement part will be given to the child at the lab facility. The actual replacement of the defective kit/part will be delivered within 10 working days in the event the manufacturer accepts the defect and replaces the kit. This will be communicated by the Live support experts on video call. The replaced kit can be collected at the camp location.
  • In the event there is any damage caused to the lab kit by the child while undergoing the training the same will be chargeable to you.
  • For any breakage to parts due to use by the child, spare parts are available for purchase from the maker lab/online by the student/parent.
  • The camp will be organized at a STEM.org Accredited location where safety and protection norms are in place.
  • The courses will provide clear instructions on how to use the kit. In the event the child misuses the kit which will lead to injury to the child, the partner or the company will not be responsible for any such accident, damage or injury resulting from the same.

COMPETITION:

  • SPARC - Summer Camp Edition will be conducted exclusively for the students who have signed up for the summer camp. No other students will be allowed to participate
  • Post the completion of the camp, each student enrolled for the camp has the option to participate (not compulsory) in the competition conducted by SP Robotic Works Pvt Ltd. called SPARC. The competition will be conducted among the enrolled students and will be categorised as per age.
  • The details of the competition are provided here.
  • The competition will span from April to July, at different dates and different regions. The dates will be announced latest by 1 week prior to the start of the competition
  • The participants will be judged as per the rules mentioned here.
  • The Judge’s decision will be final
  • The winners will be announced on or before 30th September 2020.
  • The prizes, as mentioned in the website, will be offered on or before 31st December, 2020.
  • The Topmost winner of each category (Age 7+, Age 10+, Age 14+) will win a trip to NASA. Travel, Accommodation and Stay will be taken care by SP Robotic Works Pvt Ltd. for the student. Accompanying person will bear their costs entirely.
  • The Next Top 30 winners of each category and 10 Students specially chosen by the company (solely Company's decision), will be selected for a 3 days immersion program called Young Tech CEO Program at Chennai. The travel, accommodation and stay should be taken care by the students themselves. Details of the program will be communicated to the winners.
  • Notewithstanding anything contained herein, SP Robotic Works Pvt Ltd reserves the right to change, cancel or reschedule the competition and the commitments to winners mentioned above.

Please note that in the event, the summer camp has to be cancelled as a result of a government order due to the coronavirus situation, you can either request that the products be delivered to your home or rebook the slot once the summer camp is rescheduled. No refund of the registration amount will be provided.

SP Robotic Works reserves the right to change the terms, conditions, and notices under which this camp is operated and services are offered, without giving any notice of the same
