Maker of the Month : Krishna Raghavendran

Hurray, the most awaited moment is finally here!!

The wait is over for SPRW Community members! We are here to announce the “Maker of the Month” for  September '19 edition.

There has been quite an inflow in terms of the number of project submissions that were made this month. It's always been hard when it comes to selecting one out of such innovative and interesting projects. We are back with this month’s cool projects, after a lot of video watching and combing through entries, we are finally here at the moment of truth.
So, who is the “Maker” of this month??

Let us all cheer for Krishna for earning the Maker of the Month crown for the month of September 2019!!

He has finished 4 levels and is now actively exploring with the different components in  Gopalapuram, Chennai Maker Lab. An enthusiastic student who never runs out of energy and ideas when it comes to innovation.

Out of all the courses, he loves embedded C programming for robotics which he belives involves logical thinking and more creativity.

He loves programming and exploring so much that, he has developed many software apps on his own and has been named as Young Programming Genius in his school.

He always creates a friendly atmosphere in the lab as well as on tech chats with the faculties and not only finds out a solution for himself but also helps his team when needed.

Krishna has done 9 projects all unique from the others. And also never misses out on participating in any of the Project Challenges. " He is excited to participate in all robotic project challenges and gives a detailed presentation to the audience. This gives him more confidence and increases his programming skills and creativity"  Says his proud Mom, Mrs. Niranjana. Take a look at his few project videos below.

He has developed his own Operating System called HEKA OS and HEKA assistant (like Google Assistant) using Visual Basic .Net.

So do you want to be the next one?

Here are the 4 easiest steps to be followed if you wish to win the award:

Step 1: Be active on the SPRW app

SPRW conducts various contests via its app and facebook pages. Regularly check the SPRW app and the SP Robotics facebook page for all conducted contests and events.

Step 2: Build a robot just in case.

Well, this is the fun part. Just build robots according to the criteria specified in the problem statement. Well, you are also welcome to display your creativity in terms of the features or components used in the robots. If you make maximum use of the components from your kits, you get special brownie points during the selection process.

Step 3: Shoot the Robot- with a camera!

Well, your robot needs to be evaluated by us for you to win. So, take a video of the robot and its features and compile them into a short crisp video. Since it is going to be a monthly event, you are supposed to stick to the deadline. Oh yes, we almost forgot! Share the video with us. Just ensure that the videos shot in a well-lit environment for the robot to appear in its resplendent form!

Step 4: Patience earns goodwill!

This is the hard part. We know you will be bristling with excitement after submitting the video. We also appreciate that you will be eager to know how you fared. But, you gotta wait until we screen through all the submissions and finally declare you the winner!

 Happy Roboting !!!
