It's incredible that humans have reached a stage where they are capable of controlling insects as the Robots. The future is crawling towards us on six legs. This is a research that is done on the most advanced Cyborg insect on the Earth. The team is basically working on turning beetles into the cyborg using electrical signals. They are studying the muscle layout and leg control of these beetles. These insects are wired on a board and are controlled by switchboard. The manipulation is done for different walking gaits, speeds, flying direction and other forms of a motion.
Beetles turning into a cyborg are not harming them. Moreover, their normal lifespan will be around 3 to 6 months but it can survive for several months. Beetles have never died right after this process. Sensors being used are to detect heat and hence human, can be placed on the beetle so that they can be controlled to move toward a person . This can be helpful for criminal investigation or finding a terrorist. May be this tech seems to be crazy but if you ask me I would definitely do it. I believe it will be the most happening and amazing to control beetles as per our wish. Moreover the researchers are even concerned to have a peaceful future ahead.
So, even you can control an insect-like you control a ROBOT in the Roborace which you have done in Beginner level and a very good implementation of Expert level .
