Ever wondered who did the stunts in Avenger? It could be this Robot.

Disney’s engineers are now building humanoid robots designed to take part in aerial stunts. With the help of laser guiding and built-in accelerometers and gyroscopes, these robots adjust their position in mid-air, nailing that perfect superhero flight pose. You can watch a video of them in action below:

Star Wars characters, or Pixar characters, or Marvel characters or our animation characters, are doing all these things that are active and sometimes dangerous. So they came up with the concept of a stunt double for the ‘hero’ animatronic figures that could take their place within a show or scene to perform more aggressive actions, in a way this bot replaces a valuable and delicate actor in a dangerous scene.

The Stuntronics robot features onboard accelerometer and gyroscope arrays supported by laser range finding. It’s a humanoid, taking on the size and shape of a performer that could easily be imagined clothed in the costume of, say, one of The Incredibles, or someone on the Marvel roster. The bot can be slung from the end of a wire to fly through the air, controlling its pose, rotation and center of mass to not only land aerial tricks correctly but to do them on target while holding heroic poses in midair.
So now go ahead and build your stunt bot with the concepts that you have learned in the Expert level and
