For startups around the globe, the satisfaction lies not in business success or market capture, but the excitement of transforming entire sectors. SP Robotic Works, as a startup has operated in the EdTech space with the aim of disrupting the field of education. Our efforts, that have been centered towards making robotics accessible to the younger generation, has seen thousands of young engineers emerge out of our educational curriculum.
It gives us great pride to announce that the founders of SP Robotic Works, Mr.Pranavan Santhanakrishnan and Ms.Sneha Priya were awarded the coveted title as the best Entrepreneurs at the recently concluded NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARDS 2017. Shri Arun Jaitley, Hon’ble Finance Minister, presided over the event and awarded our founders. The award which was titled NATIONAL ENTREPRENEUR AWARD is an annual award which is constituted by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MoSDE).
Over our five years of incorporation, we have developed a robotics-focused STEM Kits that has empowered thousands of students across the country in the burgeoning field of robotics. Our four levels of robotics kits are today used by several esteemed schools and educational institutions to promote a practical method of learning, one that familiarizes students in the core fields of electronics, mechanics, algorithm and programming. We have grown from strength to strength from accomplishing a world record to building India’s first mall robots and restaurant robots.
Our customer base today boasts of young makers who pursue robotics as a passionate hobby and dedicate a better portion of the day towards developing innovative and ground-breaking projects. Among our latest initiatives include Industry-grade Real-time Projects, a one-of-a-kind program that brings together young innovators to work on ongoing Industrial projects and solve them to gain exposure.
While accolades are something we do not work towards, our effort in the domain has seen us garner well-wishers and fans from several quarters. The latest in the line- The Government of India.
The motive behind the award was to identify and honor exceptional entrepreneurs from various sectors who have been instrumental in disrupting the sector and energizing the economy in the process. This exercise was undertaken to encourage a culture of entrepreneurship across the country and to recognize the new-age businesses models that were adding value to the economy and creating jobs by opening up new sectors. The award event was initiated and hosted at the behest of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MoSDE) under their Startup India initiative.
The jury for this event selection committee consisted several eminent personalities such as Dr. R A Mashelkar, D G CSIR; Mr.Mohandas Pai, Chairman, Manipal Global Education; Ms.Naina Lal Kidwai, Former Chairman and MD HDFC Bank; Mr. Milind Kamble, Chairman DICCI; Dr. Anant Pandhare, Founder, Dr.Hedgewar Hospital; and Dr.Devi Prasad Shetty, Founder, Narayana Hrudayalaya.
The award was launched in partnership with India’s premier Technology institutions such as IIT-Delhi, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Madras and IIT-Bombay; and premier Biz-schools such as IIM-Ahmedabad, XLRI Jamshedpur and TISS Mumbai.
