Maker of the Month : Ganesh D

Hello Makers,

It's time for the Maker of the Month blog, where we will reveal the next active and innovative maker from the SP Robotic Works community for the month of August 2022.

We have selected a maker whose robotic creations stood out from the crowd after much deliberation and examination from your contributions, and the title of Maker of the Month for August 2022 edition goes to none other than Ganesh D.

Ganesh D is an Online Student from Secunderabad, Telangana who started his robotics journey with SP Robotic Works in January 2022 with the Codey Inventor Kit. Ganesh is one of the most diligent and innovative student who has made a wide variety of projects. He is particularly interested in the field of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, Nano Technology and the Metaverse.

His interests include reading novels, researching about new technology, and creating real-time robots. He claims that just as every home in India has access to smartphones, he wants our countrymen to have access to robots. He wants to launch a robotics company that offers solutions for our daily tasks. He aims to create affordable, easily available humanoid robots that assist us in going about our daily lives.

At school, he's a sincere and obedient student and is an active participant in school events and competitions, and project challenges conducted by SPRW. His favorite project to date is the CNC Drawing Machine which can be used to draw sketches, take down notes, and help him in completing his homework too.

His favorite course from SPRW is the Codey Inventor Kit. He says that "The course helped me to start right from the basics and gave me an idea about microcontrollers, C programming concepts, and how to build and automate robots."

Here are the 4 easiest steps to be followed if you wish to win the award:

Step 1: Be active in the SPRW Community & App

SPRW conducts various contests via its app and Facebook pages. Regularly check the SPRW app and the SP Robotics feeds page in the website & facebook page for all conducted contests and events.

Step 2: Build a robot just in case

Well, this is the fun part. Just build robots according to the criteria specified in the problem statement. Well, you are also welcome to display your creativity in terms of the features or components used in the robots. If you make maximum use of the components from your kits, you get special brownie points during the selection process.

Step 3: Shoot the Robot- with a camera!

Well, your robot needs to be evaluated by us for you to win. So, take a video of the robot and its features and compile them into a short crisp video. Since it is going to be a monthly event, you are supposed to stick to the deadline. Oh yes, we almost forgot! Share the video with us. Just ensure that the videos are shot in a well-lit environment for the robot to appear in its resplendent form! Also, make sure you have submitted 3 or more self-projects within the span of 30 days

Step 4: Patience earns goodwill!

This is the hard part. We know you will be bristling with excitement after submitting the video. We also appreciate that you will be eager to know how you fared. But, you got to wait until we screen through all the submissions and finally declare you the winner!
