Hello Makers,
Another month has gone by, and it's time for the Maker of the Month blog, in which we will announce the next enthusiastic and creative maker from our SP Robotic Works community for the month of July 2022.
We have selected a maker whose robotic creations stood out from the crowd after much deliberation and examination from your contributions, and the title of Maker of the Month for July 2022 edition goes to none other than Alan Jose.
Alan Jose is a Maker lab student from Kattur,Trichy and is really active in the Maker Community making projects in various domains from Electronics in Electro blocks to coding & app development in Android.According to Alan "Robots are machines that we use in our day to day lives which are built to help people and have fun at the same time".
Apart from robotics and coding,Alan engages himself in various other extracurricular activities such as sketching,dance and Singing.Alan loves to actively participate in various singing competitions and has a soulful voice.In school he's an obedient student and you can always find him to be talkative and in a jolly mood.
He participates in a number of activities at his school, including the Social Service Club, the School Choir, and the Skating Class. He wants to serve his country by enlisting in the Indian Army. He is committed to developing soldier robots that can be used to protect our country because he thinks robotics is the future. Additionally, hologram technology fascinates him.
One of his favourite projects that he has built is the Rescue Bot,which was a simulation of a robot helping in evacuating of hostages in a hijack situation.Alan's favourite course is the Android App development where he learnt to develop a variety of apps and he loves visiting the Maker lab as its fun to learn and he gets to meet and create new friends at the Maker Lab.

Here are the 4 easiest steps to be followed if you wish to win the award:
Step 1: Be active in the SPRW Community & App
SPRW conducts various contests via its app and Facebook pages. Regularly check the SPRW app and the SP Robotics feeds page in the website & facebook page for all conducted contests and events.
Step 2: Build a robot just in case
Well, this is the fun part. Just build robots according to the criteria specified in the problem statement. Well, you are also welcome to display your creativity in terms of the features or components used in the robots. If you make maximum use of the components from your kits, you get special brownie points during the selection process.
Step 3: Shoot the Robot- with a camera!
Well, your robot needs to be evaluated by us for you to win. So, take a video of the robot and its features and compile them into a short crisp video. Since it is going to be a monthly event, you are supposed to stick to the deadline. Oh yes, we almost forgot! Share the video with us. Just ensure that the videos are shot in a well-lit environment for the robot to appear in its resplendent form! Also, make sure you have submitted 3 or more self-projects within the span of 30 days
Step 4: Patience earns goodwill!
This is the hard part. We know you will be bristling with excitement after submitting the video. We also appreciate that you will be eager to know how you fared. But, you gotta wait until we screen through all the submissions and finally declare you the winner!
