At the end of 5 days, this was the summary of The Hindu Young World Summer Smart Camp.  

It gives us great pleasure Kidobotikz partnered with The Hindu Young World as a Robotics Knowledge partner for the Hindu Young World’s Summer Smart Camp 2017.

This engagement was built up on the exercise from last year when Kidobotikz hosted robotics workshop for The Hindu Young World. The Summer Camp was a five day event and was held simultaneously across the 3 major metros of South India- Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. 

The event was categorised into two sections- Juniors and Seniors. The Juniors Summer camp is for ages 8-10, while the Seniors Summer Camp is for Children of ages 11-13. The camps were conducted in various centers across the metros with expert assistance from Kidobotikz faculty.  

The structure of the robotics workshop was such that the participants were given a basic understanding on the important concepts of electronics and logic. 

The two workshops of the Juniors and Seniors had been designed keeping in mind the age and the learning curve of the children.

1. The workshop for students of the Junior level was known as the Basic level. It used the Basic level robotics kit which could be used for several experiments. Students worked on experiments like “Lighting LEDs”, “Making a Buzzer Buzz” and “Using an IR Sensor to control a motor”
   
   
2. The workshop for students of the Senior level was known as the Advanced level. It used the Advanced level robotics kit which could be used to make a Logical robot. The kit taught students the concepts of Programming Logic by making them build a robot that navigated using input from an IR Sensor. The robot which is capable of moving “Left”, “Right” ”Forward” and “Backward” using gesture based inputs helped students have learning and fun.
   

And it was a successful event nonetheless.
