MCM? What is MCM?

Before we answer that to you, we want you to ask you a question! 

Ever got to meet someone else from the SPRW community?

If you are a member of the SPRW community, it is likely that you have always done robotics from your house comfortably. We are aware that you completed your courseware from the comfort of your couch. 

But the real fun of robotics happens only when you meet your fellow roboticists! 

Yeah I know! I anyways meet them at KRG!

Of course you meet your mates at KRG, but to collaborate and come up with ideas and innovations, you always need to meet them at a place where there’s time for you to brainstorm and forge partnerships!

To facilitate this, we at SP Robotic Works are initiating MCMs- Maker Community Meetups !!

SPRW’s Maker Community Meetups are places where you get to meet with your fellow members from the online community, whom you normally don’t meet; and engage in activity that is all about robotics and high technology !!

Meetup? Like what?

The meetup will give the community members a chance to see up close real time industrial robots and get to know more about their working. There will also be sessions where participants can get to talk to experts from the community and understand ways in which they can upgrade their robots.

These meetups will also lay a platform for the community members to get updates on upcoming events and contests. They can get to network with senior members of the community and get tips for participating in the games.

Sounds cool. But is it just about meeting people?

Not exactly. SP Robotic Works will also feature some of its high performance robots at the meetups. Participants can get to operate these to get a look and feel of how robotics of Big league feels like !

I am sold. When is this happening?

Well, the MCMs are planned to be held once every six months at every city that has the SPRW community members. For starters, the inaugural edition is planned to be held in Chennai. It will be held on the 24th and 25th of June, 2017 at the IIT Madras Research Park. 

It will be held in two batches to accommodate the huge numbers of Makers in the Chennai community. You can register her to be a part of one of the batches by registering here.

Do I have to be a member of the SPRW community to attend this event?

Since authorisation in based on fingerprints we may have to get your fingerprint registered with us for you to participate.
